We are really happy and now the journey begins! We were starting to get a bit nervous that i had not concieved yet but then we did the ovalation kit and sure enough that helped us because the following month here we are with a postive result!

YAHHOOOOOO!!!!
I had my tubes tied in February of 2001, exactly a year after my only son was killed in a horrible car crash we were in. I was a single mother and I thought for sure I would never "gamble" on experiencing that horrific of a loss again.
I also know myself well enough to know how impulsive I can be, so I have never regretted my decision.

I met my now husband three years ago and for the last 12-18 months we have been discussing the possibility of a baby together. He has a son, 10 years old, that lives with us fulltime.

The decision was nothing short of the hardest decision I've ever had to make. But I am married to a wonderful man who one day said to me, "We are going to have this surgery because the only thing I can ever really give you is a child. And I can't bear to see the pain and longing in your face every time we see a little blonde-haired boy that reminds you of your son."

That was that. We scheduled the surgery and made all the travel and care arrangements (for his son). We came all the way from Southern California. In all my research for a surgeon for this procedure, I could find none as impressive as Dr. Berger and his staff. Our stay was short and sweet. The staff was unbelievably nice: Quite the culture shock from the Southern California Attitude.

Even after a slight problem with post-surgical bleeding from the incision, I honestly could not have prayed for- or even dreamt up- a more gracious staff of professionals. I was told of probable mentrual-cycle irregularity, and that's what I experienced for ashort while. But I think on my first legitimate cycle, we nailed it, so-to-speak.

I went to the OB today and they have declared me 5 weeks pregnant (very, very early). They took some blood samples today and I will go back in in two days for more blood work and an ultra-sound a week from today. My OB is aware of, and sensitive to, the risk for an ectopic pregnancy after the reversal procedure and I feel he is closely monitoring the situation. That's reassuring.
I want to thank each and every one of you enough for all you have done. In your daily duties you have altered my entire life for the better.

I will be getting my first blood test tomorrow. This was the first month that I didn't track my cycle in a year!!! Thank you so much for making this possible. My husband and I are so excited that we can't keep a smile off of our faces.

We would have never thought that the level of caring and concern would have been so outstanding. The follow ups post op and even now are so kind and show genuine concern for our well being and progress. We will sing your praises to anyone and everyone. Karlee Grace was born November 15, 2004 by c-section. She was breech. She weighed 7lbs 8 ozs and was 20 inches long. She is very beautiful. Our little girl would not be here without Dr. Berger's help.

I am so excited right now. Just really don't believe it. I have already taken 4 PG test to make sure. I just feel like I want to start AF but someone told me that is normal I guess that is why it is hard to believe also. God done this in his own timing and I pray he let's everything go ok.
